My rear brake drums were bad so i had them turned. Once i got them put back on i was driving home and realized something was squeaking bad. not when i press on the brake but when im rolling. I took it apart when i got home and realized that on the inner half of the drum was a lip which was missed when it was turned that was wearing out a little part of my brake pad. I said screw it and bought a new drum from napa. I put it on and test drove it and the thing still squeaks, its more than a squeak though, sounds like metal hitting metal. When i turn it gets worse, almost sounds like the drum is hitting the dust plate or whatever its called that it sits against.

any suggestions?

it might be there usaly thin and get bent easy try to bend the plate back some and check all the springs and other stuff inside the drum and spray some wd-40 on the springs (not the pad itself or u wont be able to stop vary well)

it was the dust plate hitting the inside of the drum. i just bent it back and it stopped.
