Does anyone know of a reference that would help me to identify a brake drum which I have no numbers just dimensions. Hi all! I recently purchased a Ford 9" differential for a project. The only thing lacking was the internal brake hardware parts and one drum. There was no axle tag. This kinda leaves me with using dimensions and comparing. Thanks anyone in advance!

start by comparing the drum & shoe dimensions, include shoe width. make sure they match. does the 1 drum fit the backing plate? then going by those take a guess as to it being a heavy duty, or light duty vehicle.
hit an auto parts site and look up 1978 F100 rwd, F150 4wd, mid 70s Ford LTD to see what matches. the gear ratio may provide clues, hi way gears tend to be light duty brakes.
