New member here. I own a 2006 Sport Ranger. I am certain it had a much younger pre owner. I love the truck, but a friend told me the last owner turned it into a "Bro" truck ??? Anyway, I believe the suspension is way to stiff as every time I hit a bump on the road or freeway, the truck seems to bounce off the bump, like a rubber ball against a wall. This is not only distracting but down right dangerous as the truck tends to bounce and can loose controlability. Anyone have an opinion on this and what should correct this? The truck has torsion bars and i was told they are turned all the way up... Is this whats causing the broblem? My other problems I will list in the other forum categories. Who ever owned it before really screwed the truck up and now I have to make it into a driveable commuter.

Check the pressure in the tires and then compare it to the sticker on the truck as to where it should be. Next if the torsion bars are cranked all the way take it to an alignment shop and have it aligned. They should be able to put it back where it needs to be.

Cranking the T bars all the way up "does that".

You essentially have no "up-travel" so it acts like a bump-stop or limiter strap.

I tried cranking the T-bars on my 2000 4wd and hated the harsh ride, so I put it back.
I'd simply crank it back down ~ 1.5" and watch for tire wear. The chances that the previous owner got it aligned after cranking it up are pretty slim, IMO.

yea, if you know about thrucks, you can lower the T-Bars yourself. if you have no idea, take it to either ford or and alignment shop and have it set to factory. these trucks do bounce though. mine skips because i have offroad shocks in it.
