Take the inner fender well out and there are nuts holding it on.

no easy way to remove them. there are no nuts they are riveted on. tape off the area around and spray em while then are on the truck. thats what most do, thats what I did, works perfect

Well now what do I do? I have two conflicting reports. I guess I'll just have to dig in once the weather breaks here.

Tape it off and paint them on the truck. I began to tale one off when i was gonna do it, and after 30 minutes of rust in my eyes ad only one "attachment point" removed, i grabbed the masking tape and news paper.

If you take the inner fender liners out, there are 6, maybe 8 (or more) bolts that bolt each flare on.

Save yourself ALOT of work and just mask them off, if you try and take them off, you will know why we warned you...

The headlights and grill really made that truck look alot better!!

I am going to listen to the people who have been there before me and I will tape them and paint them on the truck.

Now I have to wait till it warms up here, I have no place to go to paint other than outside. That sucks, guess I could save the $20 in paint an put it towards my tires.

Thanks all for the advice!

they are just bolted on, whoever says that there is no way to remove them is wrong. Take out the inner fender and there are a series of speed nuts holding it on.

But taking the inner fender linner isn't the easiest thing to put back in (or take out). Mayeb I was just doing it wrong, but it was a handfull to get back on, I even had the fender off, maybe that was why though.

I went to remove mine, after breaking the stud off one of the because the nuts wouldnt come off, I taped over them and sprayed mine with a texture coating. I also did a rock guard on the bottom edge of the truck. If you want to see it go to www.dskellogg.com/ranger.html and check it out. Let me know what you think

What did you use for texture paint? Is it automotive exterior cause it looks a lot like the stuff I used on my ceiling....lol

It's been a few months now since you painted them, any problems? Did you do any special prep work prior to painting? (sanding, bonding agent)

Thanks,
Vince
