bolt on doors

hey i was wondering if there is a kit or a way to change my doors on my 1994 ranger to make them like jeep doors where they can be removed and put back on as pleased. Also would i have to worry about the body crumpling or anything if there doors are not there to support it?

I remember reading in another thread that Jeep Wranglers are the only vehicles you can legally drive without doors. On other vehicles, including rangers, removing the doors will compromise the structural integrity of the truck. Also, the Wranglers have a lip on the floor to prevent things from rolling out.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

pretty sure youre correct there snomaker321. a set of half doors would work if you could make some.

im doing half doors for mine, but im going to modify the hinges to where i can lift off my full door and just drop on the half door...gunna have to do alot of hinge modifcation

Why can't the stock hinge pin be cut/ removed, then use a pin and cotter pin from the hardware store in it's place?
That is what I've considered doing (I hate realigning my doors when I switch them...)

I believe you are correct with the doors off being illegal but i would do a custom half door that i would rig up with some work. But i just want to make sure it does not mess up anything structurally.
