Body Swap

I have a 1989 Ranger XLT. What I want to do is find out if there’s a way I could put a different body on the frame, like an Explorer, Expedition, Newer Ranger, or something, anything, Ford, Chevy, or GMC. I can’t find anything anywhere and it would really help to know if anyone knows anything.

Anything is possible with with enough work.

You would need to figure out things such as body mount locations, wiring harnesses, pedals, steering column, etc

Just you average full sized framed bronco under a beetle body.
Without a solid plan and above average fab skill, I would expect far worse results.

There is a thread dedicated to Ranger and Explorer frame swaps on another forum. IIRC it's either on The HAMB or JalopyJournal message board. A lot of good info there. I read through it once, but it's been quite a while.
