I got some prothane body mounts and soon realized the hole in the middle was very large for the bolt i had with my body lift kit...after some research i seen the "hardware" you needed...so i did some more research and discovered 120$ for the "hardware...So i made my own solution and need some opinions...i got 3/4 inch pipe and fender washers...the bolt is a little loose in the pipe, would that matter with the weight of the cab+ the body lift blocks or any other suggestions?

I had the same thing with mine. Make sure u put oversized washers on the lower bushing or it will pull through like mine did :( I also did the pipe thing to centre the bolt. If u haven't put it in yet I would suggest a sawsall to get the old bushings out.

Would the pipe constrict the cushion part of the mounts? I used a wiz wheel and it broke and flew at innocent bystanders. So sawzall will be next.

I used an angle grinder, torch and sawzall to remove my old bushings, FWIW.

Never thought to use pipe inside the bushings, I just got some lengths of vinyl hose that would work and liberally applied quality grease. I put some large washers on the bushings too, one between the bushing and the lift block (I did a 2" body lift at the same time) and one on the bottom bushing piece. Plus a regular washer on the inside of the body. So far it's worked out pretty good.

Just a price of half inch pipe and the big washers on both sides will keep it down to a minimum and I can finally bolt the cab down.

Yep. I used half inch conduit for mine. Just enough to keep it snug inside the bushings.

Then just use oversized washers and torque it to about 45 ft lbs (W/ Threadlocker) and you're good to go.

Did you retorque after 1000 miles? And my bolts seem to be short on the back mounts. I can get a nut in the bottom.

There are different sized bolts in the kit. The rear are longer.

That might make sense. Thanks. I thought that might be the case but I haven't had time to look due to work and come weather.

Yes I did and it sounds like you just used the bolts elsewhere....I hate it when that happens...

I still haven't got all the mounts off. It's eating through die grinder blades and sawzall batteries...I can get like one a day.
