Hey all,

I have a '94 Blue Ranger that has very little signs of having any rust on the outside. My problem is with the body mounts and the brackets that attach them to the frame. They're rusted out almost completely on 4 of the 6.

What have yall done to remedy this?

I've seen a bracket for sale once, but it was a remanufacture jobbie that was $80 and it was only for the Left rear cab mount.

I have a frame from an '85 that has very minor rust on it, but I mainly want to hear what you guys have done because I'm not looking forward to spending God knows how long with a grinder and torch to take those off.

Later,

I have never had to deal with this issue yet, but I would think just get some 1/4 thick flat steal, cut you out a couple plates and gussets and remake you some body mounts.

Cut out the old ones and clean up the frame a bit weld your mounts out, and shoot them with some rustoleum.

I am not sure how bad your damage is with out looking at it.

i have seen them on ebay

I only found one on the bay.

It's for the rear cab mount. I need some of the other ones too.

I don't have immediate access to a welder and 1/4" plate metal, so I was just wondering what options I had.

I was giving an option, due to the fact I have never had t odeal with this type of issue yet.

But I would imagine though that you get yourself a set of mount either off of ebay, or your dealer will have a set for you.

You might even be able to get lucky and find something in good shape from the junk yard when you get home.

Oh and hey man thank you for your service and come home safe. And if you were relatively close to me I would come fix this for you.

I wouldn't let you do it yourself. I would let you help though.

Besides... I'd rather buy you a drink for your help on here anyways.

Where do you live?

Nebraska... But depending on were you get stationed if you re-enlist, my brother in-law is getting stationed back in Texas when he returns so, I would have reason to go down there...

I'm definitely not re-enlisting.

Where is your brother-inlaw getting stationed at? Goodfellow? Lackland? Medina? Sheppard? Dyess?

Or is he a different branch than me. I'm Air Force.

He is in the Army, and I am pretty sure he is going to be stationed back at Fort Hood, in Killeen, TX.

Heck if you were to re-enlist you could try to get stationed here at Offutt Air Force Base, you would be in my back yard then.

I know that I am digging up an ancient thread, but I need help on this as well! My rear drivers side cab mount is completely rusted through and broken... I need to find a part for this, and maybe some help on how to replace it?

Anybody that could help would be much appreciated!

Body mount brackets?

I dont know if they would make a part for that or not. It may be something you would have to fab up or maybe you can find a way to pull it out of the junkyard. Hopefully someone who knows more about this will chime in

Sounds good. Can't wait for some replies...

Is the truck safe to drive like this until I fab a new plate up or find a replacement? I mean the thing's not going to fall to pieces on me is it?

For future reference, the ford part number is:

FOTZ5083A

Their price is $61.08
