ive been looking at a body lift for my 95 ranger splash and i see they are in the 200$ ranger, and for a 95 its about 50$ cheaper and comes with brackets for the bumpers and it looks like the 95 kit doesnt?

Is there actually any difference between the 2 kits or will the 94 kit work on the 95?

Any help input is appreciated!

Make one yourself.

Some pipe, some washers, and some scrap pieces of metal makes a good body lift.

Cut the pipe to the desired height and then weld on the washers. Take the scrap metal and fab up your own bumper brackets, only problem I see from there is a steering extension and some other extensions that some kits make you buy separately anyway.

If you figure in some nominal amount of money for labor to cut the pipe, weld the washers on andmake the brakets... you won't be too far away from just buying a kit already made.

Well hockey pucks work great and are pretty much free at any skating rink. Never tried them and I'm not telling you to either cause I've heard good and bad, but it is an idea.

Well, if he has a hack saw, which most people do, he would be able to get the pipe cut pretty cheap. :icon_thumby:

And if he has a welder, or a buddy with a welder, or a neighbor with a welder it would be pretty damn cheap to weld some 30 cent washers to both sides. Damn those are expensive washers.:icon_welder:

Then of course there's that OH SO HARD task of making some 90 degree bends in a piece of flat metal that can be found just about anywhere. Just get a hammer and something hard with a 90 degree corner.

Yeah, that's DEFINITELY the same price as a kit. :icon_rofl:

I have a chop saw welder etc... not a big deal... but i can get a bramd new body lift from per formance acces for 100$ with everything, for a 94 splash... but 95 says its different and its 160?

so if anyone could verify this i wouldnt mind just buying the 100$ kit if it would work and there isnt a difference

IIRC, I think it has something to do with the fact '95 is the 1st year with airbags, but I can't say for sure.

Hmm.. true, moving the sensor on the bumper(s?) would mess with your airbags. That might be why the 95 is more expensive.

With me being in a 93 it never crossed my mind.

ahh make sense....well i found the 95 ranger kit on amazon for 160 and realtruck will price match they advertize and i have a gift certificate there... so well see

the steering shaft is differant in the 95 then in the 94 so the extension might not work

i think ive decided im just gonna level it and put the tires on, i think it will clear... also gonna buy rims, since i got free brand new tires!
