im thinkin of getting a 3 inch body lift and as I was looking at the kits out there i see steering extensions, manual tranny shifter extensions but nothing for a manual transfer case shifter. Will a body lift affect the shifting of a manual transfer case?

Mine wouldn't work, I had to extend it. I just took a piece of scrap tubing, drilled and tapped a 1/4 - 20 hole in it, and welded a piece of a shaft from an old starter motor (from a tractor actually) we had laying around and I had an extension. I put a short 1/4 - 20 bolt in my tapped hole to lock it on the existing shaft. The starter motor shaft is the same exact size as the shift lever, so with some black paint you can't tell anything is different.

so after that work it shifted good?

well on a buddys B2, we somehow forgot all about the extension so we just cut out a small section of floor pan around the shifter, just enough to allow it to move in and out of the range. It worked fine, but was too short for my tastes

Yeah it works great. It was sunk way down in the boot before, I couldn't get it to hardly work until it I extended it.
