i dont plan on keeping my truck very long but i want to make it look good while i got it im thinking just a body lift because i can get it for less than 250 so my question is does the hitch still stay tucked up underneath or does it stay with the frame im looking to put 33' maybe 35'inch tires nothing to hardcore. any pics of rangers with just body lifts would be great

Hitch stays with the frame and you end up with a gap between your bumper and the hitch...

k thats what i wanted to know because that does not look good at all to me so thank you

No prob, it's funny because there is truck up the road from with a bl so I keep checking it out.

I'm trying to scheme up a gap guard to hide that before I do a bl.....

well on the PA lift it does NOT come with rear bumper brackets so your gap is betwene the tailgate and the bumper

i dont want a gap anywhere just want to lift it enough for 33's without messin up alignment and what not

I know when i bought a BL for my 89 ranger i used to have it didnt come with bumper brackets, but with my 01 it came with everything, even bumper brackets, so i dunno if its just that they dont make them for the older ranger or what, but for my 01 they did and the kit cost around 200 bucks.

i have seen a some trucks on here tha have had the 2-3in body and they got a peice of diamond plate and stuck it inbetween the tailgate and bumper. ALso think about getting aftermarket bumpers. THey will look even better then that just some ideas.

I just fabed up a couple bumpers. It wasn't that tough and they look good (if I do say so myself). If you don't do anything you will have a gap and that doesn't look very good IMO.

yeah i thought about that but i dont wanna put to much money into it since i dont know how long im going to have it

ok i need to know if i do a 3inch body lift on a 2005 FX4 can i fit 33's to 35 inch tires? and will 4.10 gears turn them good enough

You should be able to run at least 33s with a 3 inch lift, 35s... might be a little too close for comfort.

on an fx4 you can run 33's stock so im asuming you can run 35's with a BL:dunno::dunno:

depending on how wide the 33's are yes they will fit, but if your running 33s on stock rims there are going to be some rubbing action. i had 33x12.50s on my 01 ranger stock, they rubbed my mud flaps and fender flares a little bit, but after the 3 inch body lift they fit perfect.
