Alright, my friend wants do a body lift on his 98 explorer sport. He's on a tight budget and doesn't want to pay for a new lift, so me and one of my other friends decided we'd give him our leftover blocks from our rangers. We have enough blocks for the lift and we won't have any problems getting the bolts and hose extension. But we're worried about the steering extension. Where can we buy just the extension? How important is it, and is there any way we could rig it to make it work? Again he's on a tight budget and we need to do it as cheap as possible.

steering extension can be bought at summit i think. if you have access to a welder, you can just cut the shaft and weld in your own homemade extension. very simple.

Just call some lift kit suppliers. PA wont talk to you directly so try 4wheelparts wholesalers 1-877-260-5452 when ask punch in ext.5317 and Simon should answer. Tell him Mike from Alaska refered you, he is real helpfull and they are PA body lift dealers, and sell all the PA body lift accessories like tranny ext. ect. good luck and let us know what you find.
