So i got a brand new PA body lift off craigslist for $130 and a set of procomp steelies for $200 off a guy in the local ranger club. Gonna order some goodyear duratracs this week. :D

Been reading guides/how to's etc for the last year or so waiting to have the funds for this.

Plan is prep friday, disconnect every and so on. Hopefully finish saturday but got sunday if need be. Got 2 buddies to help me.

Any tips on making it go smooth?

Gonna run 33x12.5r15 on 8" wide rim with 3.75" backspace.

T bars are cranked 2.5" to level the truck. Hoping i don't get any rubbing, i will be removing the front bumper valence.

Start spraying lube on the body bolts yesterday at the latest. Do twice a day until ready to take them out.

Ive been trying to find some pb blaster or equivelent. Finally got a can today. Just to clarify am i spraying the outside on the frame or is there a point inside?

Spray on the out side where the bolts go through the nuts. You want to spray the threads and the nut and let it soak. The more u do the better don't forget the ones on the core support and the bed bolts. I'm not 100% sure on all the placement of the bolts i did mine on an 89 bii but same concept good luck:icon_thumby:

I found on my 84 Ranger and 94 Explorer the front two body mounts were the worst. They dish on the top (engine side) and water collects there and rusts them solid. I ended up cutting the bolts, removing all of the mount, and replacing with a hockey puck under the BL, then use the new bolts supplied with your kit....

Kinda shows in this pic. I dont know if the mount is the same on your 99, but where the puck is, there used to be a rubber-ish mount about the same width. These have been in for years now and no issues.

Thanks guys got the lift in today. Just gotta put the bumpers back on and finish putting everything back together. Had trouble with the passengers side core support but everything else went smoothly. Only problem was it starting pouring rain haflway through lol.

Loc tight bed bolts blue stuff is fine they like to rattle loose
