I've been trying to work towards working on some land use issues with a local on Midsouthjeeps.com, as a club we are a sponsor of blue ribbon coalition. with being a paid member on MSJ, there is a discounted fee for the first year of membership with blue ribbon coalition.

does TRS have the same thing? are we alliance of blue ribbon?

regardless, the money they get from membership is put to great use. i will be a member every year if possible. it means more to me than my paid member here or on MSJ... i wanted to add a thing on here to let some of the 4 wheel drive people know that there is a BIG DOG in washington working for our trail rights. as a club there may not be much we can do over and above online petitions. but if all of us that were paid members here (4wd folks) would be paid members for blue ribbon-- that would increase their funds a good bit. and its money that is used wisely.

on MSJ we have an elected position that is "Land Use Officer" who keeps us updated on things like the online petitions. We send her to the local land use conventions(i think, if we don't yet we are gonna). so do we have something like this on TRS? something that is a land use forum in the huge list of forums we have? i want to do anything i can to help out with the keeping public lands PUBLIC... i know there are a lot more people on here than MSJ. think of the difference we could make if we pulled together and just all signed an online petition. it takes all of a few mins tops to sign an online petition.

i'm no where near up to date on everything in land use like i wish i was... but i think we all should do what we can.

58 views and no comments? no one here wants to keep trails open? what are we (TRS) doing to help keep public land open to 4 wheel drives?? this disturbs me a good bit. do we support anyone? do we do anything to help keep the land open? i love trs but come on guys... are we just gonna wait around and let the government take all of our land?

the horseback riders are prepared, they want all motor vehicles off public open land.
the hikers- same thing... they have their lawyers and want everything but foot traffic off the land.
the bikers- same thing.. understand??? we as 4wd folks need to be organized to keep our access rights to this land..
