Hey guys, awhile back (late October) I had to put a new bulb in my driver side headlight, the high beam worked, but the low beam didn't, which got me pulled over, so I replaced the bulb and it worked fine, I can't remember if the bulb went out on me or it was like that when I bought the truck in September, but last night, I flipped on the high beams on my way home from work, noticed a flash, and now my driver side low beam is out again. High beam still works though. I'm not genious, but I think the bulbs should last a little longer than 3 months, right? Anyone know what might be causing this? Truck is a 93 reg cab with the 3.0 engine. Thanks - Alex

I can send you 1993 EVTM schematics that will help you figure out this problem, which could be a bad ground, or a bad connector at the lamp.

Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send those.

Check the lens for moisture inside...there are many people having the same problem and I had it on my 89 Tempo...my solution was to drill a small hole in the bottom of the lens to allow moisture to escape...apparently others found the same solution...

Drilled the lights, got some fluid out, didn't expect much water to come out at 5 degrees. I also attempted to clean the ground I found with the schematics, but the stud just spun when I tried to remove it, so I cut it and wired it directly to my battery. So far so good. We'll see how well this holds up in the next few months. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the follow up...hope it fixed it for you...
