Chrome. Looks great

Red, being an '89 with a D28.

I actually painted my D35 Warn lock outs red to make them look like original ford ones but you can't see them in those pictures, because the dingus at the tire shop put the American racing center caps over the top of them. Facepalm. I was surprised they even fit.

I would ditch the front caps ASAP in case they messed up the wheel torque.

Yeah I pulled them off 5 minutes after taking those pics.

I ordered the chrome center caps. I'll have to drill some mounting holes for them but you can't beat that factory look.

More parts are on the way.. excited to get this thing a little bit higher in the air. I figure after installing the skyjacker coils and removing the 1" body lift it should be 2-3 inches higher than it is now.

Haha yeah it does look similar to the XLS ones.

This is the only set I could find. Been looking for ages.

I need to paint it first, and there's a bit of rust that needs to be fixed. I'm thinking maybe mid summer for the paint and decals. I'm going to be lifting it first.

This is the end goal, only a little higher and with 32" tires

Haha yeah it does look similar to the XLS ones.

The top one being upside down with all the tops of the letters merged together it spells XLS, I had never thought if it before and spent the day going because I thought you were going for STX then later I looked at it again and saw the bottom one and figured it out.

Red and white should pop nicely.

I really liked the way Grunizzle's STX looked when it still had a bed

Yeah they aren't easy to find. I found mine on rearcounter LINK. You'll need to know the part number. The one I got is E9TZ-1020000-DD

There is a company that makes solid color vinyl STX stripes. They are a bit cheaper than what I paid for my factory ones.
