BlackBII's white ranger

See, no where to put a fuel filler door.

I'm going to put it in the bed. I ordered some hose so when that gets here I'll do that.

I had a pang of panic that you got rear ended there...

Can't beat the factory look.

Those are mint. Where did you get them?

They're reproductions. Not sure about how they'll hold up after a few years, but out of the box they look really good. :icon_thumby:

Fuel filler hose. Going to build a box around it and weld it into the bed.

Cut my body 1" lift down to about 1/2". The rear is sitting about a half inch higher than the front. Might need to add some washers under the front coils. I'm going to drive it a little and see if the springs settle at all.

Made my own version of the discontinued Warn 37207 set. LINK

Jeep JA000865 washer on the left vs RBV washer on the right.
Notice the much larger tab on the Jeep washer. This should help prevent the inner nut from coming loose

Drilled out the existing pin holes and added some larger 1/8" steel dowel pins.
These larger pins with squared shoulders should hold the inner nut and washer together more securely

Drilled and tapped two 8-32 holes in the outer nut so that I can add some allen head screws.
Used a dana 44 washer with the outer tabs ground off. The dana 44 washer has a much better inner tab on it. Dorman 618-041

Ha! Working on it. Time and money, Jimothy, time and money.

I'm hoping to have it painted and 'finished' by this fall.

Picked up some 33's today. Falken Rubitrek. :icon_thumby:

Nice work on the gas tank...and everything else for that matter, looks great.

I was going to do a B2 tank in my '86 and actually had everything to do it at one point but I have smashed in the factory 11 gallon rear tank so many times...and the B2 tank hangs down another 6", I think it would kill my departure angle and would get mangled real fast. But I do have a long box truck and I think your short box wheel base will help keep it protected a lot better.
