I bought my truck used and it ran fine for a good while but i then started having misfire on one of the cylinders. I took the spark plug out and it felt as though the spark plug was fused but i took it out and it looked like this.

Here is a link to a picture of the spark plug.

The rest of the plug that have been in look normal compared to that monstrosity.

Its a 2000 Ranger V6 4.0 OHV

Could it be that there is leakage somewhere in the block that's leaking oil or some fluid? Is it injecting too much gas? What could cause the spark plug to look like that.

Any feedback is helpful. Thank you.

Looks like the original plug.I would replace them all.

If they are the plugs that the truck left the factory with they will have a paint dab on the tip of the plug wire contact.

You could have a lean fuel mix in that cylinder if the rest look ok. Maybe a clogged or dirty injector. Or water in the gas. my .02 cents
