2 inch gen1? BL. its an 88 might be gen 2 then. 2 inch body lift, will i need to make custom bumper relocation brackets? so it dont look like crap?

I had to make a bracket for mine, it did kick the bumper out a little more (I had to notch it to go around the frame horns) I connected the two brackets with a peice of angle iron I welded two D rings onto, and then cut the factory airdam to fit.

BTW the first generation (like our trucks) went from 83-88, the second generation trucks went from 89-92.

ok thx. ya im gonna have to figure somethin out for the risers. was hopin to avoid that. but oh well!

My buddy actually cut the front bit of the frame horn off that the bumper bolts to and moved it up 2 inches and re welded them to the frame. Worked out really well.

I thought about that, but I really didn't want to cut up my frame. The way I did it is completely reversable.

The front bumper is a tad weaker, but I doubt it was all that strong to begin with, plus my peice 3/8" of angle iron should more than make up for it. My only regret is that I didn't get 1/2" bigger angle iron to completely fill the gap.
