I've got 3" body liftblocks for my BII, got them free, but there was no steering extender that come with. What's the max BL height I can run without using a steering extender as well? Any info is greatly appreciated.

i think you need one for any body lift on a b2, i've seen some 2 inch BL kits that come with a steering extension. i'm sure there's some people that havent had any problems though. i bet you could rig up something with some scrap metal.

I had to use one with a 2" body lift so I'm reasonably sure your 3" lift will require it. Call James Duff Enterprises - they are pretty easy to deal with.

Well I'm planning on cutting the blocks down to 2" so that's why I was curious. thanks for the advice.

extend or not?

I just started on installing a 3" on my 90 b2. I was using a friends hyd. lift, and when i had the tub up to where it needed to be, I found that I really don't need the extender that came with the Performance acc. kit. I know it sounds wrong, but i turned the steering shaft by hand and there was no hint of a bind.
I did one on a '84 ranger years ago and had a hell of a bind. So in closing i'd say get it up and see what you got. Good luck and I hope this helps a little.

did a 3" in a 92 ranger and didn't need any extensions. Guess some times you might get lucky and not need anything.

1" needs nothing but longer bolts, people say if u gonna do it go 2 or 3 to make it worth it, but its not too involved to do(i can do a 1" in about 30 minutes with basic tools and a breaker bar)
