the GAA V8 was a SOHC motor right?
No. It's an 1,100 cubic inch all aluminum (block, heads, oil pan, valve covers) DOHC engine. Which produces something like 500 hp and over 1000 lb/ft of torque from idle to 2500rpm. It's nothing short of a beast. It lives up to that in every respect.
It's really a first of it's time. Pretty advanced technology for the day.
Would it fit in a Ranger?![]()
Well, they put one in a mustang, so I suppose it may be slightly possible. Well, not really. It'd probably be partially in the cab. The problem comes when you're trying to cool it. Even if you make enough room for the engine, the radiator and cooling fans this thing needs are about 100 lbs a piece for the fans alone. Don't even get me started on the radiator...
I still slightly hate you in jealousy for getting to work on this duster...
Once we run it a day or two, we'll crush some GM products...then it'll be broken in right.![]()
Crush, baby, Crush - and post vid's.
