I have a stock 2002 ranger... iv been looking at some new tires... got some 235/75R15's on it now... looking at some 31/10.5's... will they fit... and has anyone herd of the tire tempra trailcutters or the sport kings at (made by BFG) got a decent deal on either of the two but iv never hear of em... just wanna know what yall think before i buy em??
thanks...

if you have a 4wheel drive, 31's are not a problem. have them on my 99. if you are 2wd, you will need a lift. as for the tires, never heard of either of them so im no help there sorry

ya it is a 2wd unfortunatly... u know if putting 30's would make much of a difference... and i heard about tightning up the tortion bar ... if rangers have tortion bars iv never really bothered to look into that.... that that would give a bit more hight... as well as getting a lift kit for the leaf springs on the back... if that would help... im trying to find the cheapest way of doing this...
thanks for the help by the way....

No, because the height of the truck is the problem, your truck sits to low for 31's. Also back spacers are only going to move the rim/tire out horizonaly from the truck, they will do nothing for your height problem.

well i lined up the tire with my truck and there seems to be tons of room... i have about 6" clearance on the tires i have on now... and the 31's are only about 1.5 -2 inches max bigger than the tires im already running ... so im assuming i have tons of room at the top... and its just gunna rub when i turn the wheel all the way...???

if yor info is right and you have a ranger EDGE they will fit, i am running 31x10.50/15's on mine at the moment, i did crank the T-bars but it was not necessary i was just leveling it out

thanks man.. that really helps me out... by the way... that a nice looking truck ya go there.... and have u heard of super king tires, i think they are made by bfg or tempra trailcutter's... i think they are made by laramie... if so... any recomendations???? thanks...

never herd of super king's i run procomps on the back only because i found the pair for 50 bucks and Goodyear wrangler authority's up front its an AT tire you can get a walmart for they have a pretty aggressive tread for an AT ill eventually repalce the procomps with the goodyears since they are only 130 a tire

You can runs 31's on an 2wd edge no problem. My dad has the sport kings on his f250, he likes em. They seem to wear well too, really good in the snow.

the local tire dealer i went to... (i asked around at a few)... said he could sell the sport kings... but never would.... said he did in the past and only caused him head aches... not all of them .... but the majority of them... told me he would get them for me if i really wanted them.... but strongly sujested not too.... im looking for a set of hercules... i herd they aren't bad.. made by cooper... looking the at A/T or the Trail Digger's... got any suggestions...???
thanks

if looking at cooper tires, try the discover st/st-c/stt.....my father works at coopers, and those are some meaty tires. look at toyo open country's too, they are really good.

Forget 31x10.50's man..... crank the bars a little bit and run 32x11.50R15's!

And yes, even though you are 2wd, you have the same exact suspension and same ride height as a 4x4.... Fx4's and my XLT came with 31's stock!

really... the local dealer wouldnt even sell me the sport kings... had em in stock.. said they were shit and wouldnt sell em... i ended up getting goodyear wrangler territories... they are pretty good... couldnt fit the 31/10.5's... not enough room at the back of the wheel well's... oh well.. even the 235 look pretty good ill post a pic when i get one
