I may be getting a BigFoot Ranger. Its a extended cab 4x4 it's got a chrome rollbar. How rare are these trucks? Are new stripe kits available? One front fender was changed but otherwise it is pretty complete but is in bad need of a paint job. Is it worth getting to fix?

to qualify as a bigfoot ranger, the truck must be: extended cab ford Ranger
1986 or 1987
power rolldown rear window
2.9L 4x4
dark blue truck with graphics "bigfoot
cruiser" on the side doors
chrome roll bar with 5 Marchall lights
215/65/14's (stocks)
alluminum running boards

I have one rolling around my town. Doesn't have the rollbar, and not sure about the rear window deally. But it has the decals on the side. Almost had a chance to buy it, but was to late on it.

Sorry I don't have any pics of the truck. It is dark blue, extended cab 4x4. Has a 4" lift. alum wheels, 31"? tires. Chrome double tube roll bar. And what used to be decals down the doors, cab and bed. Both front fenders were changed and painted to mach but never had new decals. Other thatn that, does anyone know if there is something special about the vin to tell it's a Bigfoot ranger? Are there any aftermarket decal kits available for this truck, or am I stuck with trying to find NOS stuff? I'm still not sure about getting this. If is really pretty rare than I may get it. If not It can just sit there cause I don't really need another project anyways.

how much does the guy want for it?

I was gonna trade him a 460 and all the swap parts from a 80s fullsize for that and a lift B2. But after looking at them the B2 other than the lift and cut out flairs is pretty much worthless, and the Ranger Is starting to get kinda rough from sitting. It would need completly gone over to be road worthy again.

I have a friend with a BFRanger and he stated that new decals would cost 700 dollars

14"s on a 4x4? and 65 profile at that?ive never seen one, but it sounds cool. you know the original bigfoot was a (ranger package) F250. back in the '70's the ranger package was the brite trim and brite hubcaps instead of the plain white painted ones, may have been the cloth/vynil bench seat. we had a '74 F250 ranger, it also had roof clearance lights. dont know if that was part of the ranger pkg or not.

i say go for it , you got enough parts layin around that place to make her roadworthy again
