Hey guys,
I need a quick response. I have a pretty major oil leak right now. I think it is the front seal. The truck has a new oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket. The engine has ~120k miles.
The oil appears to leak from the front of the engine, onto the main pulley. It seems to be on the timing belt (evidenced by oil spray on the top side of the engine). Is it the front crankshaft seal? I am going to tear into it this evening, but I wanted to know if there was an easy way to check.
At this point, I am just about to pour some stop leak in the oil and take it to a dealer to trade.
Thanks in advance,
Jake
