I know their a weird car to have a love affair with, but one like that with nice set of rumblin duals, smoked tail lights, and a few other goodies....gets the blood racin.
Those are the same cars driven by old folks. But with some suspension, cooling, and electrical upgrades.

Now Marauder, that's a much better story.

I think the 90's Chevy Impala was the last sedan to have an actual performance motor stuck in it as part of the police package. They were great off the line, but squirrelly at high speeds. The CV was definitely a better vehicle to ride around in.

Im a big, big fan of the maurauders to.

But vics are cheap. Lol.

Ive always heard those Police Caprices would frickin move. Never drivin one though.

They'll push you back in the seat. I think they basically had a Vette motor. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. They got a little loose at high speed from the air flowing under them. Chevy offered spoilers on the truck lid for more down force, but very few agencies used them. They were known to crack at really high speeds.

I've driven a Ford Bronco, Jeep Cherokee, Chevy Suburban, Chevy Camaro, Chevy Impala / Caprice, Dodge Diplomat, and Ford Crown Vic on duty.

Yeah it was the LT1 350 or whatever they ran in the vettes in the day.

How'd those diplomats run? I figured a 318/360 in that small of car i bet them scooted pretty good.

Our Sherrif had a Bronco, I thought it was cool. They held on to it for a long time until it got totaled in a chase.

The Bronco in Longmire was a scene stealer too.

Never been around one, probably would be disappointed... but they sure look sharp.

To bad the LAPD didnt have one back in 94.

A bronco chaseing a bronco woulda been sweet.

Its a type 40 square body in blue.

OK, after researching, changing oil, and filling fluids all weekend, I have narrowed it down to this:

I gotta get one of those wagons. That would get me into 4wds. I knew am guy who once had a Cadillac El Dorado on a Ramcharger frame. I wish I could find a pic of that thing.

DAMN!! How did you guess the wagon? Plenty of room for the dog and my camping gear.

I get the vehicle tomorrow. I'll post pics on Tuesday.

I got a hold of my cousin at the DMV, he tracked down Taurus KLA000272, that's the picture the owner sent me.

Crap. I bet you peek at your Christmas presents too!
