Ok i wanted to make a poll but im not sure how. Basically in the next 10000 miles my km2s are going to be done and will need to be replaced. I cant make up my mind if i should get another set of km2s or the kevlars, in my tire size the kevlars are 5 pounds a piece heavier which im thinking i will get worse mpg and harder on drive train. What are yals thoughts on these tires and by the way i love the km2s have been best mud tire i have ever had.

Oh one more thing im running 33s with 4:88 gears, i have a automatic with the 3.0. I was thinking about body lifting the truck and going to 35s. The truck struggles with the 33s on it on hills. The gearing seams to be perfect, if i went to 35s how much worse would the truck perform. Im getting like 17mpg right now also.

I have never run the KM2, I had the older BFG Muds. I now run the Goodyear MTR/K's and love them!! They are much better than the BFG's ever were on the rocks, sand and mud!

I just recently switched to MT/R-Ks from KM1s myself (both 35x12.50s). I haven't yet noticed any dramatic traction difference myself, they both seem to be great tires in that regard, however my KM1's tread got chunked all to HELL from rocks (much worse than pre-"KM" BFGs I've run in the past), which I wasn't sure I wanted to take a chance of the same thing happening with the KM2s.
The MT/R-Ks so far are holding up much better (the QC on them also seems to have improved since the old pre-Kevlar MT/Rs).
The MT/R-Ks are a little bit bigger than the BFGs (by about 1/8" dia, 1/2" width), and took a bit more weight to balance (10oz avg total each tire vs. about 6oz ea for the BFGs). They're also a slight bit smoother going down the freeway too.

Haven't done any precise calculations yet, though it doesn't seem my MPG has changed noticeably with the MT/R-Ks.

P.S., I fixed your thread title.
If you click on Thread Tools at the top of the thread, the option to add a poll should be there :icon_thumby:

I have noticed the bfg do seam to get chunked up on rocks but i never spent that much time on rocks and thought that was normal. I like what im hearing about the good years they are also cheaper.... How do they do on wet streets?

Thank you for the help :icon_cheers:.

Uhhhh i cant make up my mind but i think im going to get the mt/rs, they are cheaper and do better in the mud from some test i saw. They also are suppost to be louder and i love a good tire humm. My km2s were bad about chunking on rocks and we do have a few of those around here so i think mt/rs would be better.

Get'em mounted and post up some pics! :icon_thumby:
