Best way to stop paint peeling?

I have a couple pretty good sized patches of paint beginning to peel on my hood. I was thinking of coating the edges with clear fingernail polish?

Is there a better way to stop it?

That sounds about as good as any, unless you feel like a repaint.

I recommend a flat black hood, it adds about 5hp at the wheels...

If your clear is peeling just at the scratches I think the clear nail polish will slow that down. But it's gonna start again sooner or later.

i had that issue with my f250, like many early 90s/late 80s fords and GMs with the peeling paint.

this is what i did about it lol may not be the most cost effective for everyone, even doing it myself i cost around $1k for supplys and new parts.

ofcourse, its sitting in the driveway as we speak. its my plow truck i couldnt be without it come winter lol.
