When I go to look at this ranger today, im going to do a compression check on it. Whats the best way to do it? take out all plugs first or just go one at a time?? Also what is normol for this?? 150 I think, but what is the LEAST it should be? I know it has to be about 10-20psi the same between eachother. So let me know guys! Thanks

Label all spark plug wires.

Remove all spark plugs, and inspect for the usual stuff that would point to problems.

Disable ignition system.

Block throttle plates to wide open.

Suggest doing a dry test for a standard.

Give it a shot, might want to keep a battery charger on hand (it helps, this can drain a battery). Looking for 130-180ish or so. However keep in mind the purpose of a compression test is not only to see how high it can go? But how each cylinder relates to the others. (worn rings will create low compression, so it might be a good idea to have a bit of clean oil handy for a few drops in each cylinder...hard to do with an owner looking over your shoulder at times) Keep careful notes and report back for feedback.
