All right men... and women we want your opions on what sounds the best for the v6 motors in our rangers... Can we achieve a V8 like sound? And if so what did you do to your truck or what muffler can you recommend to help avoid People having a rice burner sound to there trucks. Or you welded your beer cans together to make a straight pipe... :icon_welder:LOL:icon_rofl: Post videos with links also would be very helpful too. Thanks so much

Drop the PCBS, there are only two on the site.

No, be smarter.

Also, learn what a search function is.

No muffler. Open headers.

Or you welded your beer cans together to make a straight pipe...

You can't weld beer cans, but it sounds like you probably have a large supply lying around. Also, they whole thing will last about two days before it rusts out.

Heres what i say. MBRP turndown pre-runner style exhaust. its pretty touch to get that v8 sound, though a decent exhaust will do something along those lines. it helps if you have the 245 4.0L

Is it that loud in the cab? Like the sound but if that's all I hear...... Too bad ya don't have video from the old exhaust to do a comparison. My Flowmaster 40 sounds good and doesn't sound that loud in the cab.....

Search TRS for post by doorgunner...I have the only tried/true method of getting a V8/V9 sound outta a Vsix....

and if elected, I promise to...................

You want a V8 sound, drop in a V8. It is that simple.

My 2.8 has a 2 foot pipe past the cat and that's it. It actually sounds like a V8, a little loud though.
