i thought the red lookin motor with the over sized pistons would obviously be the best route or what?

i think thet 4.0 would be a good option too, it will fit without much work, compared to the v8.
besides the v8 seems a bit beat up, so would have to rebuild that one before installing it

The 4.0 looks like a good deal, but both the 2.3T and 351 (if it's healthy) would blow the doors off a 4.0 truck...

What exactly do you want the truck to do? That's the first question to answer when picking an engine.

If you want an all around good driver with plenty of balls, go with the 4.0L.
If you want that big carb'd V8 roar and neck snapping torque, get the 351.
If you just want to go fast, get the 2.3T.

not to much but i just put some new carpet in, i took out seats and plastics, i did a ok job, didnt use nothing special but some carpet tape for middle...
looks ten times better than the ripped up rubber that was under there tho hehe..

i just wanted to get a new motor, or do something nice to this motor i was looking at canadian tire for nice air filters or anything like k&n or any kind of filtler there for my truck, couldnt find a single fing one looked for anything there was like 2-3 books for the spot i was in the guy at lordco might be right there aint shit for my motor.. he said they dont stock much ford cause not many drive them he said i could get some stuff like a new top cover then i thought to myself what else could i get

new rad, alternator? carb? dunno to much about them in cars but ya, im sure theres a filter somewhere in there, i could also replace stuff inside motor but that would be a big big job for me considering i never have and wouldnt wanna take the motor out of frame unless my uncle was around to help me put it back together, be nice if i could change top end like pistons and shit with it still in frame like i can on this bike i been ****ing around with(lol)
anything to make it look nicer and clean up those sludge topcase there or whatever , some new lines? all of them new would probly help alot to,hook back up my washer fluid to the rad? it looks like it came off, lordco guy said maybe i could do my break lines braided??????????

that would be cool!, if it wasnt to hard like there wasnt pressure in the breaks or a bunch of fluid that could possibly blind me lol, as it almost happen to me with anti freeze on my bike lol, i read manual wrong i guess..

but yeah braided lines new rads, cooling stuff, anything that isnt to hard and would really make a different look under the hood, i guess im trying to make it look nicer and run better, would drop a new motor in if it wasnt gonna cost to much type thing but uhh i would like to do some more work to this motor would be good practis, but i was just watching that video i posted on my 1 other thread? iunno anyways his motor seemd so clean ya know, like IF HE undid his lines or bolts or anything!! it looked like nothing was gonna spray on him, he had so much space around the motor, lines looked smaller everywhere iunno it looked so much more easier to work with and lots of space, seemd safer lol iunno hehe..

:icon_hornsup:

i tried to give that a go was a lil long but i aint been on for a while trying to brainstorm here lol...

i think the ranger is leaking major oil, u guys are right here thats for sure, cause i think its having to be filled up alot lol..

anyways uhhhh

ya that was fun ill proof read in the morning
