Hi everyone! This is my first post here and would firstly like to introduce myself. I have owned my Ranger for 25 years, having only replaced the thermostat and ball joints.
Sadly, I allowed my son to drive it for a while and he ran it without oil and toasted the engine. Long story short I am going to do an engine swap with a rebuilt 2.5 and would like to tap into the well of knowledge here to find out what the best or most reputable website/company is to purchase the rebuilt engine.

Unless you are in a hurry, I would rebuild what you have. You know it's in good shape except for the bottom end bearings. This works well if you have a good machine shop to work with you.
