I just got a 99 ranger with the camburg 5.5 mid travel kit and steering upgrade.
The rear has stock leafs that are pretty much flat and the left side is sagging about 1.5 inches lower.
I have been reading about swapping a 64" chevy full size rear leaf and flipping the shackle but i'm confused on exactly what to do and what the best rear shackle to buy on a budget would be. not really into cutting holes in the bed to clear the rear shackles but hey you gotta do what ya gotta do!
can someone please give tell me what parts to get and give me exact step by step instructions?
i want it to sit 1.5-2 inches lower in the rear if possible.
also is there any other options i should consider with a $200-$300 budget?
my buddy owns a suspension shop so relocating and flipping the front shackle wont be an issue if that's the best route to go!

THANKS!

it's a junk yard chevy 64" spring pack i believe. PM him about it or give it a search on google. basically, you take the main spring from a 64" long chevy spring and then mix and match springs from other vehicles to get the desired spring rate.

also what's up with these ... "Raceranger's leaf pack" ?
does he sell them or explain exactly how to make them?

re-arched chevy 1500 main spring with with a mix of leafs and time invested in tuning. just search his build thread it discusses them

Getting the best spring rate takes time to tune in!

Check my build thread for the info on the hanger flip. I haven't had a chance to post pics yet.. Just flipping the stock hanger n shackle will lower the rear 2".

I have read Racerangers entire post and asked him about his springs.. The re-arched chevy springs broke! And nowhere has a mix of springs.. Ranger Chevy Explorer...

Good luck with the spring thing! Keep us posted.

My pack, if I remember correctly has a chevy 64" leaf, one expo leaf and the rest is a complete S-10 pack with the eyelets cut off. They work well but are getting tired after 2 years of abuse and since i am getting closer to racing and the truck is getting heavier, I am going with the Giant 64 pack as well, should have the on next month.
