Hey all, new here. Wondering if the bed looks out of whack to you guys.
To me, it looks bowed upward from the cab to the bed. The hitch is bent backwards just a bit and I'm wondering if this could be the reason the whole bed being as it is. Is this a sign of a bent frame or can it be adjusted easily?

Thanks a bunch.

Can see anything in the picture. Are you saying the front of the box sits lower than the rear? Or the other way around? This /\, or this \/?

Get under the truck and take a good look at the frame if you think there's a problem. Look for signs that it's buckled or if it's been repaired/welded.

How does the gap between the cab and box look?

Like /\ that.
The space between is a good inch. A bit more than my Mazda which concerns me. The trucks drives like a cream puff @ 60+mph and handles well which you'd think would be related to structure damage if it didn't. I will take a look and post some pictures when the sun comes up again.

If you are asking because you are about to purchase it then run a carfax report first. If the truck is at a stealership get them to run one and save you the bucks. If you are simply concerned about the gap between the cab and bed (can't tell anything from the photo) that is adjustable.

mine is bent .. on the pass side there is about 2 inch gap between the bed and cab on the driver sider theres inch or less gap

i see what you are talking about. measure the gap between the cab and bed at the bottom of the bed and the top of the bed. should be fairly uniform. if the frame is bent upwards, the gap should be bigger up top

loosten the bed bolts, align gap to be the same on both sides, retighten... either that or loosten the cab bolts and do the same, it's one of the two...

as to the original question, I'd go for bent frame from too much toungue weight or something, if the frame still looks fine, it's probably fine...

does the gap change between the top and the bottom? it should be the same, if not your frame is probably a little tweaked

The gap parallel is symetrical, from top to bottom is where it tightens. This picture should show the gap.

Guess I'll be getting to a welding shop soon.

If that was my truck, I would be pretty tempted to just leave the frame alone if it isn't cracked or noticeably buckled in one area. Looking at that picture, I would say the frame might be tweaked a little. If the gap bothers you, shim the rear of the bed up a little to make it parallel. The body lines are a little off across from the cab to box too, which you really can't do anything about unless you take to the truck to a frame shop and have it straightened (they can check to see if it actually is bent too), which could get pricey.

Maybe time for a trade?
