beginning turbo swap....

after going through 3 m5 trannies in 5 months ive decided to go ahead and do the turbo swap ive been planning.... ive had about 90 % of the parts for quite a while.... any how here it is.....92 ranger xlt shortbed......


85 turbo longblock rebuilt bottom and head
ranger roller cam
stock intakes
bobs log flipped ranger header
stock .60-.63 t3 turbo
3 inch exhaust
frontmount ic
t5 tranny with s10 conversion to keep shifter in stock location
probably gonna run a L series ecu
bypass valve instead of blow off valve

thats about it.... looking for somewhere around 200 horse....itll be my dd with air...

i have about 200 in the longblock,
150 in the t5 s1o conversion...
hoping to get this done for less than 700 total..... we shall see....

I have an extra 2.3T that I still want to put in something. Going with 4.0 in the '89 2.9l 4x4 Ranger after thinking long about.

Would love to see pics of your Pinto too. Had an '80 back in the '80s and and '85 TurbocCoupe. Always wanted the turbo on the Pinto
