A recent study found the average American walks about 900 miles per
Year.

Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a
Year.

That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud to be an American.

And it really makes me want to figure out my beer mileage...lol

Some rough calculations and I'm around 17.6 miles per gallon, using the arbitrary mileage figure since I have no clue how much I walk in a year. Damn, that's the same sort of fuel economy as around-town in my trucks!

(I found this old post collecting dust on another forum, I had posted it when I was in college living in a frat party house, lol. I'm sure my mileage has improved now.:icon_twisted: )

Dam I must be a big block lol

lets see... .4 gallons of beer in a year... probably walk an average of 8 miles a day... 365 x 8 = 2920 miles a year...

2920 / .4 = 7300 MPG!!!!! (estimated though...) Damn straight.

I don't like drinking but the very occasional beer is fine with me, And I usually average about 6-7 miles walking around campus and playing soccer and then a 2 mile jog... Although I probably get about 3MPG when it comes to water...

alternative fuel. gatorade man. i get the mileage of a mazda rotary when it comesto that stuff. as for beer/alc, got drunk once and was sick for 3 days. ill never have any
alcohol again

If you were sick for 3 days you weren't drunk, more like piosoned.

i drank A LOT. 2 of us went throght 3 bottles of vodka and a six pack.

:icon_surprised: I like to throw back a couple cold ones now and then but damn! I can see why 3 days, it probably took that long for your liver to start working again. You know what they say, what dosen't kill ya just makes you stronger.

thats why ill never drink again. I dont know if that coulda killed me, i guess maybe, but i guess it would take a large amount of higher proof alcohol, it was only 30 for us, but i was definitely not well. never never never again
