For a DD I would definately go with either the Pinto or corvair, more so the pinto. The falcon looks like a nice car to hot rod instead of taking daily abuse. And while the bigger cars are cool, you'll kick yourself later from looking over the gas receipts. And a wagon? come on, more room to pick up poon!

lol the only way i see me gettin poon is if it was fast

I would go for the 65 Ford pickup.

i like it too. but if i cant find a car ill go look at it

For $500 my gut tells me it wasn't all that great.

What exactly do you want? You are all over the page here, if you want get something to get something it is one thing. But I would continue to browse until a particular model caught your eye and then pursue a good deal on that model, rather than bounce between notirously problematic compact cars, trucks and boats.

That said, Grandpa bought a 1970 Dodge D200 brand new, dad has it now. It has been a very good truck and is a riot to drive (I love how it shifts) Everything from the firewall back looks identical to that '68, and the grille has more than a passing resemblance too.

id like a DD that i can slowly build up

Stay away from the pinto! they called them firebox four/fords for a reason!

Get the Fairlane

weres your sense of adventure?:icon_twisted: ive heard the storys

most pintos were fixed. and if your still not satafied put in a big fuel cell

I have a buddy in FL with a pinto stuffed with a bored and stroked 460. So much torque he had to chain the block to the frame. Talk about a screamer. Id go with the pinto, put some fluffy seats in there and get one of those hatchback adaptable tents, Poon wont be aproblem.

I'd go for the Fury, but you are right, he'll never go for $800 bucks with all that "new" stuff.

I bought a '66 Chrysler 300 a couple years ago, but it's not a driver quite yet. The fury's are pretty popular on the c-body forum.

That Biscayne could be nice too.

I am in the process of restoring a 66 Mustang, but after I am done with that I would like to do a truck like that 66 ford truck.

i wish i could get a stang but i cant afford to get it somewhat done

Yep i've been working on mine since the end of July and i've been working on replacing a frame rail and floor pans. It also needs quarter panels and outer wheel houses. I have picked up some of my pieces on craigslist for like 1/4 the price of new.

i say get the pinto man, when i was fresh out of high school my boss had one and that thing was a riot to beat on

Hot rod magazine did a article on when in the mid 90s that had a turbo 4cyl in it and was running 9s in a quarter!

no no no

Look for a Ford Maverick, not a Pinto.
Lots of maverick parts were same as Mustang parts, so repairs will be easier.

I mean, who carries brake drums for a Pinto?
