Beef's Work and Play Build!!!!!

Their called the Mississippi valley jeepers. I went with them a bunch this summer and a great time.

I just heard about them last saturday actually lol there is a group around here called Qcjeepers or Qc4x4 and a few of them go up towards dubuque with you guys. I'm trying to avoid taking it out till next spring. I need it for hunting this winter yet....and its still got the 28 in it. So as soon as i get my 35 done going to take it out.

Well, radiator started leaking last night. I think I'm going to buy a 4.0 auto radiator and just cap the trans cooler lines. Then if I ever do decide to do a 5.0 swap I already have the cooler lines, since I already have a C5 ready to go. Unless I'm missing a reason not to do this???

How come you are capping the cooler lines? I was planning on putting in a 4.0 rad myself but honestly, I didn't realize you would need to do that.

I have a manual trans. In the truck right now so No need for the cooler. I'm going to cap them so if I do use them in the future there won't be sh!t in it.
Speaking of which, I just ordered the radiator, should be here next week.

I got the 2 row radiator in tonight. It actually keeps the gauge in the middle now lol. It used to wander around and occasionally peg out. So I'm happy. I did find out my fan clutch is locked up. I think next on my list is a 130 amp 3g alternator and a taurus fan.

I havent updated this in a while bit not much has changed. Probably put 5000 miles on it since November.Got ball joints installed, gears set up, and ppivot bushings replaced in the 35. A friend is coming over tomorrow to help tear the 28 out and put in the Skywalker lift brackets, super runner steering, and rebuilt 35.

C-clip eliminator is done now too. Just have to clearance the center shaft and beam window and it can go in.

The 28 is out. I got the skyjacker lift brackets on, the start of the super runner steering, and the beams with the knuckles and third member installed yesterday. Now im not sure how to proceed....one article in the tech library shows aligning it with just the knuckles installed. Another shows doing it with it completely assembled and sitting on the tires. Not sure which method is better/prefered? I did a rough alignement with just the knuckles on and ill double check it when its all together.

Trucks looking good! Its been a while since i checked in with your build.

Thanks. Probably not going to get much done today, the wife made plans for me.....so ill be spending alot of time on TRS today ;)

Ok. Got quite a bit accomplished tonight. Got the steering in, wheel bearings, new brakes, and extended brake lines. Tried to put the front drive shaft in but its about an inch to long, not sure what I want to do there since I have a C5 if I decide to go V8 or a M5OD if I keep the 2.9 and a 1354m to go with them so my front shaft will be different no matter which direction I decide. Still have to button up a few loose ends, tie up some stuff and get it aligned closer before I go to far with it but I drove it about 2 miles and it seems to be light years ahead of the old setup. But we are supposed to get some serious snow tomorrow so I pulled it outside so I could get my car in the garage. We'll see what the next week or so brings to get it road worthy again.

find a v8 exploder doner, thats for an easier swap, and youll be blown away vs the v6 in there now! other than that ,good job on the build so far

I would but I want to stay away from Efi/electronic trans. Because if I do go V8 it will be a built 302 with a holley carb/msd ignition setup since that's what I deal with on a daily basis.
