ok guys. so yesterday at the junkyard, i saw the fold out seat from the back of an extended cab ranger and i had an idea. what if i mounted them in the bed? i was wondering if you guys knew the legality of it and how to do it. i thought maybe bolting them through the bed to the frame. any other ideas?

I've often thought about mounting seats in my truck bed.
I wouldn't think they'd need to be frame mounted as the stock ones arent.
you'd hafe to check legality, but i think they'd be fine as long as you have seat belts.
I think some states have rules against rearward facing seats, but not toatally positive on that.
I always wanted to mount some seats like the old subaru brats had-two rearward facing seats with the grab handles on the sides.

Interesting that this thread was just posted. THIShttp://bedryder.com/ was in this months Off-Raod Magazine. According to their legal link, the use of their product is completely unrestricted in Ohio.

cool. the only problem i can think of is keeping the carpet chairs dry. i guess custom covers
