So I had taken my bed liner off to clean under it but I accidentally broke the clips that hold it in. so i just put it back in the bed and figured it wouldnt fall out. wrong. i was driving down the freeway and i see in my rear view this big black thing fly in the air. my bed liner. so i had to get out and drag it off the freeway, and my friend took pics. haha. needless to say, i went home and bolted it in.:icon_welder:

ya it was a sunday. thank God. you shoulda seen the people swervin around this thing though! it was right out in the middle.

Why would you bolt it in? The plastic liner is a piece of s**t... you should have just gone and gotten it linex'd... or at the very least herculiner it yourself...

Just sayin' :dunno:

Man, that could have left a mark on some body's vehicle, Bro. I stopped using those crappy liners years ago. I found a neat bed mat that is super strong and noise free. My bed liner was driving me crazy with the squeaks that one day I removed it and cut it into 20 pieces and put in in the trash a little at a time!!!!

I like my drop in, although after I retreived it from a soybean field I also learned to bolt it in...

I would have cra**ed myself if I'd seen that thing flying through the air at me.

It is also exciting when they fly away from you...

With mine there was a big whoosh that made the truck slow down a little, I check my mirror to see it flipping over the tailgate, so I whammie on the brakes and slide to a stop (gravel road) and watch it float across the left lane, the ditch, and a fence to land hard on the driver side front corner on the between the fence and soybeans.

thats why mine is bolted and secured with some tie down hooks on the bed pockets.
cant fly that way sucker!

Don't even have to bolt it in, just get the tie down points for the holes. I couldn't stand un bolting it every time I needed to lift the bed, the tie down points are snazzy and easy and quick to remove.

mine has some round securing things on the sides. u twist em and it locks with the bed rails interior. then u bolt it to the liner.

I usually run some old topper clamps on mine. But there's been months I've left them off, and never had a problem...
