bed length need help

is a 1992 bed longer then an 1984 bed on a ranger just bought a truck and wanted to know if both are short beds are they the same length.

brett simpson has a gen 3 stepside on his 2nd gen truck

Both are 6' beds.

The beds are the same legnth even today. A short bed is 6ft a long bed is 7ft. The innerbed steel is the same on all of the rangers. You'll be fine. 92 is the last year to get a bed for a Gen I and have the body lines still match.
