bed extender..

my neighbor who lives behind me uses to drive a white 06 2wd ranger work truck....well it was fully loaded, but, it was a company truck... i just noticed that there is a bed extender behind his building that he DOESNT use anymore because he now drives a f150 company truck...i was thinking about going and asking him if i could have/buy it, but im not sure yet.... are they worth it, or are they just stupid? i mean if i could get it for free, then i say i should go for it.....what do yall think of them?

free? ... get it. Pay for it? depends on price.
While the tailgate will hold some weight (not much), most weight wil be in the main bed area. I would never use one, personally.

I could see it being useful, if you have a cap or cover i think it would be really usefully as a keeper so your shit stays by the tailgate
