I know there is a bunch of info on this subject but Im still confused on what works.

Right now I have a 4.0 explorer radiator that I had to modify to work.

Now though I want an aluminum radiator that will fit under the core support.

Ive read a bunch of stuff on this but nothing that seems to pertain specificly to the 83-88 rangers. I have an 88 and want to make sure I have something that will fit with not.

Some modifying doesnt bother me.

What is the measurements of a radiator that will work so I can order one.

james duff enterprises has one i think

I am using a 26x19 universal aluminum rad from Jegs. I hacked away much of the core support to make it fit and I do have a body lift so I can fit a bigger rad since it's sitting above the frame. Without the body lift you will need a narrower rad around 22 inches or so but 19 is pretty much the max height to keep it contained in the core support area. I made a lower bracket to mount the rad to the frame and it's held the the core support on the top with a custom pinch bracket. If you can fab the brackets you can save tons on a universal fit rad.
