this is my 1991 Sploder , 4.0 5speed , i paid 500 for it , the pics are of its "good" side , i basically have to replace the entire driver side of the truck , but it was 500 , had solid floors 128k , and it is hard to find a 5 speed sploder round here

and the trailer shot is when we were taking it down to my college , the steering is horrid , she needs a little work

none of these are beater enough. ill get a pic of my pop bottle shifter soon. (knob kept fallin off, so i duct taped a coke bottle on there instead during one fun night out with the guys.) it works half decent. If it was a pepsi bottle it would be crap!!!

Not my beater, my DD. Still I got it for 300 bucks, there will be no complaints.
Right after her bath, ain't she pretty!

here is my old getto rig....paid 200 for it, ran good and shifted good, but was ugly as sin. I wish I still had it, by the time I got rid of it, I had new rims and tires on it, lowered it, tinted the windows...it looked pretty decent. It was a good truck

You guys's beaters look like something I'd daily drive.

Is this RBV only? Never mind, don't care, gonna post my old one. :D

My b2 has seen a "paint job" and some "body work" to make it look presentable at distance of around 50 feet. by "body work" I mean filling in the fresh air vents with expandable foam insulation and sheet metal scraps. By "paint" I mean spray paint. I dont think there is a straight body panel on it. Every one has been adjusted with a hammer, rock, or tree.

Thats "the Victim" now and here is what I bought it like.
Picture001-2.jpg
The brushguard was made from exhaust tubing...... All and all not a bad buy for $700 suspension and body lifts and it runs and drives descent spent another $600 on 34 ltbs

The 87 with a carbed 2.slow and 5 speed.

My b2 will give you some healthy competition.

None of these Compare to my first ranger.

I found an 83 2.3/5-speed short bed at an abandoned vehicle auction, was Grey and Rust, holes in the floor board and bed. Found the keys in it, and drove it home from the auction. The 6.75" rear howled like a MF. Swapped in a 3.73 7.5 and lincoln locked it. Ended up replacing the tranny with a friends courier trans, it was shorter, so I had to graft a mazda DS onto the ford one because the mazda one had Un-rebuildable U-joints and I had to use the yoke for the mazda tranny, vibrated like hell at 65mph. Put a 97 header on it with a cherrybomb side exit. Ignition switch went out on it, so I had to rig up a switch to start it. It didnt have a battery hold down, so one time the battery fell forward and grounded out and shorted a bunch of wires, fried my choke cable, fuel guage, etc. and started the floor matting on fire. Almost had a wheel fall off when 4 of 5 wheel studs decided to break off. I grafted the mazda clutch slave cylinder to the ranger master cylinder, and that leaked, I ran out of clutch fluid on a regular basis, mostly when I was stopped on an uphill. The last straw as when my clutch was acting funny, took it home and found out my block was stripped at the bellhousing bolts and the tranny was separating from the blcok when I pushed in the clutch. That was the day I drove her to the car lot and traded her in on a 99 extra cab and the lot gave me a dollar for her.

I wish I would have kept the truck.

Umm.... wow you got me beat. My worst appearing truck was an 1984 bronco 2 4x4 entire cab had surface rust but the only real rust was on the driver side seat mounts. I bought it for $50 bucks with no rear driveshaft and a hole in the gas tank. Trailered it home and replaced the tank and threw in a driveshaft and some new tires and it fired up first try. A day later I bought a dozen or so cans of that "chrome" spray paint and painted the hole truck but put a 3 ft black anarchy sign on the hood and threw in an elcheapo cd player. Best $50 bucks Ive ever spent it had the 2.8 and 4 speed and that truck was a beast my friends and I would blast down atv trails with it without a care about the truck and it never broke. After awhile of that we got bored and decided to try a motor cross track and only managed to crack the windsheild with my friends head after hittin a double jump at between 45-55mph. The tierods were slightly tweaked after that. The came winter and we would lock it in an blast through snow drifts for hours on end went through one snow storm where I couldnt see the end of the hood that was the only time I got worried in it. Only owned the thing a year but my friends all still miss the "Silver Bullet" truck was always on the redline doing everything your not supposed to do we tried rolling it several times but it just never would flop over. I bought it b/c my 88 Silverado was broke down and after a month or so of driving it I just sold the silverado and got a 88 F150 and shortly after my old man was needing a vehicle so i in turn sold him the silver bullet but it never ran right for him he was always to nice to it I said but a few months after he had it the headgasket went and he crushed the truck without giving me a chance to buy it back :bawling: Im debating on painting my Ranger the same way and reminiscing lol
