Beaters?

'92 2wd 3.0l...bought it for $150 with a bad automatic from my friend. Spent about $900 putting a 5-spd in it. Spent another couple hundred on maintenance during the year/15k miles I drove it. Had to put the wheels/tires from my excab on it because it had the steelies with bald tires. I fixed a bunch of rust on the roof/a-pillars and put in a new windshield. Also put on the chrome bumper from my extended cab (after I rear ended said friend one day, lol), and a rollpan after I got a ticket for no rear bumper. Sold it for $800 when I bought my Buick.

this is my 1998, xtra cab, 4x4, 3.0, 5 speed, xl, that i got for $800 with a "Blown Motor". took it home and it started but ran real ruff so we pulled the plugs and they look horrible so we replaced them but it didnt help. then brought out the compression tester and found out that the far back passenger cylinder had no very little pressure so we tore it down and found a bent exhaust valve that didnt close all the way so all the compression for that cylinder was just going out the exhaust. well $25 for the valve and $95 for all new gaskets and she runs perfect.

not much done to the outside but a toolbox, hub bearings, soon manual hubs, cb radio, bed liner....inside saturn ion leather seats, and expo full length console

Idfk! its weird whatever it is! lol When I bought it and the owner was like oh yeah we were playing with some paint so don't be mad.

I guess I need to take more pics. my 85 is a rusty hulk. someone put floorboards in it and they did a chitty job, now after many field romps there about to fall out.

Heres mine still a beater but i love it. has a knocking 4 banger+a unsequanized tranny+broken transfer case+rusted driver side floor board=beater!!

1989 b2 xl,fully loaded. Ac,cruise,tilt,pw windows,locks,doors,seats,and rust. Paid 150 canadian. Brand new rad in the back seat,hoses for the brakes the were broken.

Finally a thread where my jalopy can fit in, but i gotta say these are some pretty nice lookin' trucks for bein' beaters....

Well here's my rusty '92 4.0 with 293,000km. Speedometer, fuel guage, and thermostat don't work. Tires are off a Crown Vic that was used in a demo derby. The box is rusted out and starting to get some pretty good "speed holes" in there. She shifts hard and leaks power steering fluid and i'm sure the list goes on....but on the plus side its got Mossy Oak seat covers and a cowboy hat rack so i guess that makes up for everthing else
