bearing adjustment nut 88 Ranger XLT Auto EVERYTHING

I know I should just convert to manual but I don't have the 3-400 dollars necessary
I need a bearing adjustment nut. mine cracked I believe its a dana 28 axle, but I CAN go identity, just don't know how to. I turn all my own wrenches but am not a mechanic by any means. I literally did my first transmission swap on this truck, did it by myself and it worked great but I felt the bearing was going out. when I opened it up I found a cracked bearing adjustment nut. the truck has been parked ever since. It's been two years and I want to finally get it back on the road. Please help! even a proper part number would set me on the right path. As of right now, I feel pretty... slow... for not being able to find it. And my wife is eyeing the truck... help me resurrect it! I just hopped in it yesterday and it fired right up and moves under her own power no problem at all. just can't move very far lol.

That does look like the right unit.

Check your locking key as well. My experience has been that those nuts don't just crack. It usually happens when someone forgets about the locking key and tried to remove the nut with it still installed.

i removed it all myself and the last time the bearings were replaced i did them. i "doubt" i turned without removing key. but uhhhhhh, lets just say me and willy hang out some time
