so according to jc whitney at 15x10 5 by 4.5 rim will fit a 95 wrangler but will not fit my 97 ranger? is that due to the hole in the middle is mot big enough for the hub?

Yes, the hole in the middle is smaller than your truck.

Dont you have it backwards? The jeep wheels will fit the ranger just fine but the ranger uhb centers are slightly too small for the jeep. Someone double check me on this.

Yes you are correct, the jeep wheels will fit the ranger but the ranger wheels have too small of a center hole to fit the Jeep, I just went through this the other day, buddy bought my 92 Explorer wheels off me and the hole is too small, but his Jeep wheels fit the Explorer no problems.

Jeep wheels will fit Ford 5 on 4.5...not vice-versa.

From what I have seen Wrangler and Cherokee factory rims will not fit because the hole is smaller in the center, but it may change from model to model but I guess I could be wronge. I think all aftermarket wheels will fit, maybe do a cross reference?

think it depends on the rbv gen. my first gen with manual hubs will not work as the centers are too small up front. the back fit just fine. a little machining on the front wheel centers fixes it.

Also depends on the wheel. Some later wheels still fit the larger hubs.

I know that the factory aluminum wheels of my 91 ranger would not fit over the hub centers on my girlfriends old 94 grand Cherokee with having the holes enlarged just a bit.

i agree. i have seen a lot of wrangler rims that had small center holes. but still doesnt answer that does anyone have black 15x10 beadlock rims

guess the message is that you can get those wheel and have the centers machined out to the correct size for your hubs.
also, you might prefer posting in the "parts needed/wanted to buy" forum here on TRS.
just a thought.

don't buy over priced generic crap from a catalog

These are the hummer style double beadlocks (locking both inner and outer tire beads) with pressed or flat centers and they are cheaper than most if you don't get them with all the bells and whistles.

He makes them with centers to fit all bolt patterns and axle styles.

and, don't forget... beadlocks are not legal on the roads in many states. might want to double check the laws where you are. for a trail rig only, not a problem.

I thought the Federal DOT decides whether the wheels were approved for highway use or not? But you are correct to check the laws. My understanding is that the DOT takes the beadlock wheels on a case by case basis so most are not DOT approved but some manufacturers go through the trouble of actually getting certified/approved for on highway use.

Another beadlock style to look into is the Staun Beadlock. They are an internal beadlock and don't require you to buy any special wheels. They work with your existing wheels. http://www.staunproducts.com/beadlock.php
