... Who's 62 and pedaling across the country starting July 1st.

Yep. He's celebrating his retirement from working for the State of NH by riding from Seattle, WA to Bar Harbor, Me along Route 2 & it's Canadian counterpart.

He's doing this BY HIMSELF and is camping along the way. He'll need all the help he can get.

My Ranger and I have had to rescue him on two seperate occasions. Just look for a grey-haired hippy looking dude who'll take ANYTHING in stride!

Thanks guys!!!!

I'll tell him that. Frankly, I'm just hoping that I don't get a call from a police officer saying that they're picking him out from the grille of a Peterbilt!

Well that just makes me feel lazy

wow.. i'm 20 and wouldn't even do that. lol

Tell him to cross the border at the Rainbow bridge in Ontario and check out the falls. Then let me know when he is here so we can do a maintenance check on the bike.

yeah, just do a maintenance check on the bike, Don't worry about the old man ,He should be just fine. After that ride I would think he might need a maintenance check also

Will do. Would you also be willing to let him pitch his camping tent in the back yard?

Dude can sleep in the house and have a hot shower if he so desires.

WOW, thats awsome. I've only riden the entire Little miami bike trail and back which is around 152 miles took about 6 hrs down stayed the night and almost 7 hours back. I also riden from wapakoneta, ohio to Bellefontaine, ohio close to 40 miles. That only took me 3 hrs. I did it all on a mountain bike. I feel for him tell him I said good luck and be safe.

Wish him well...

Guess I won't see him since I'm on the Canadian side...but it's something I've thought of doing also...:icon_thumby:

I'll strap a 35 pack of waters behind his seat and watch him climb a hill haha.
Your welcome!!! Lol

i'd help him if i could... but i'm in the Memphis TN area..... a little out of the way! lol
