Bazooka tube questions???

I was going to get bucket seats and instead if a console just put a bazooka tube in the middle of the seat. I was looking at model number bt1224dvc. Wired to 2 ohms should make it 600w rms. I was looking for a decent ( value and quality ) amp that could push 600 rms. Any suggestions? Also would the the bazooka work between the seats. Its a 1992 single cab.

depends on the width of them.

the round ones dont fit in a standard cab at all. ive tried every way and it dont work.

personally, i wouldnt run a tube. they dont sound all that great. but if your set on it. check out sonicelectronix.com audiosavings.com and woofersect.com

ok well scratch that idea. I know my way around regular car audio, just wasnt sure on the bazooka tubes and what they liked. I'll find a single 12 and build a box. Thanks man

honestly thats the best way to go. it will sound alot better. and have more room.


you can build a center console and house a 12 in there the faces the back of the cab. seen it done many times.

I mean 500w rms should be plenty for a single cab right. I'm just trying to find a box that will work behind the seat comfortably. What is that triangular splitter In the middle of the back wall on the floor for? I'm thinking of the shallow mount memphis 12 the dual 4 ohm wired to 2 ohm with a mono block 500w @ 2 ohm amp

I wish I had a picture to show you. But I had buckets in my ranger with a 10" tube in the center. Swapped out the speaker for a kicker cvr. Sounded great and I loved the extra space. Its definately possible. I've gotten the same setup to fit between a 1983 toyota pickup and that cab is much smaller.

can a regular sized woofer for in the tube? I might just see what kind if room I have to work with and put a nice 10/12 in the tube.

The cvr fit perfectly but I did the same for a friend and it gave us a little bit of fitment issues but we sealed the gaps with silicone. I always wanted to put a cvx in a tube but 1500 Watt rms may blow that tube to pieces haha
