band servo

I know it might be tricky but does anyone think it's possiabe to change the intermediate
band servo with the trans in the truck. I was thinking if I leave the tension on the band
the band strut should stay in place. getting the cver off is not a problem. This is a 5R44e
trans. It's leaking bad on the cat.converter when shifting from 1st to 2nd

Let the tension off the band and you should be able to change the band without a problem. If it is an aluminum servo covo swap it for steel and get a new plunger too.
