band adjustment 4r44e

I have been reading in my searches that the band adjustment is overdrive 2 out and intermediate 2.5 out. This morning getting ready to go fight this beast again (installing the 4r44e) I was reading the tech article on the 4r44e and it stated that the band adjustment is 1.5 out for both. Before I finish this up i would like to know which one is correct. Thanks

not sure why no response

I went ahead and backed them off the 2 and 2.5 turns like I read in the threads and everything is well. If thats correct, the specs in the tech article in the trans section need to be changed from the 1.5 as stated. Thanks everyone for all the help getting my Ranger back up and running. That was a engine and trans install done for the first time that turned out great. Remember. Tighten the flexplate bolts before the engine goes in.
